The Government of Telangana, on September 23, 2026, declared September 25, 2026 (Friday) as a holiday for Government Offices, Schools and Colleges located in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and adjoining areas of Ranga Reddy and Medchal–Malkajgiri Districts, on account of the Ganesh idols immersion procession.
Consequently, November 14, 2026 (Second Saturday) shall be observed as a working day for all Government Offices, Schools and Colleges located in and around Hyderabad and Secunderabad and the adjoining areas of Ranga Reddy and Medchal–Malkajgiri Districts, in lieu of the holiday declared on September 25, 2026.
The Order has been issued in partial modification of the earlier Government Order dated December 6, 2025 and shall be published in the Extraordinary Gazette of Telangana.
